Acting

Terri received her BA in Theatre from Kean University, trained at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC, and studied for several years at Michael Howard Studios in NYC under Larry Singer, Fay Simpson, Bill Irwin, and Patsy Rodenberg.

Terri’s numerous stage credits include Masha in The Seagull (Theatre Row, NYC), Donna in The Taffetas (regionally in VT, NJ, NY and abroad in Ireland’s West End), and Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Terri also provided voice overs for a number of Anime features, including Battle Arena Toshinden (Chris), Iria - Zeiram the Animation (Kai), and The Heroic Legend of Arsland, toured with Theatreworks USA, and appeared in many industrial and instructional videos.

For 10 years, Terri worked for TADA! (Theatre and Dance Alliance) in New York City, for whom she not only taught students of all backgrounds (including Special Education) at schools of all types, but conducted teacher training workshops at many of those schools, as well as staff development workshops for TADA! itself.


At TADA!, Terri also ran a Yearlong class: a 30 week advanced musical theatre class (audition required), wherein students would collectively compose an original one hour musical, then perform it on consecutive evenings under Terri's capable direction.


As an acting coach, Terri has coached numerous teenagers looking to audition for their school of choice, as well as adults looking to audition for MFA programs and/or professional roles. She has also taught professional training workshops for children and teens looking to pursue a career in theatre. Terri has also coached many adults looking to improve their public speaking abilities.

Directing

Terri has directed many new plays including, "Lemon Meringue" which was performed in NYC both in July '11 at the TADA Theatre and then again at Barrow Group Theatre in November '13.

Terri has also spent many years directing one-woman Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway productions. She directed and adapted Deborah Ortiz’s Changing VioletNominated for two IT Awards – Best Solo Performance and Best Performance Art piece), Veronica Golos’A Bell Buried Deep(From book of same name that won the Roerich Poetry Prize and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize), Athena Reich’s rock operaAthena Under AttackToronto Fringe Festival and Producers Club in NYC), Lisa Ramirez’sExit Cuckoo (63rd Street Y), and Lisa Danser’sA Missing Peace. She has also directed Serafina Martino's cabaret show, Back on Base

Terri has directed hundreds of school performances with children and teenagers (both original and established plays) and has most recently directed Seussical, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and Fame at the Birch School in Merrick, NY. Currently, She is the director of the Bay Shore Middle School musical each year, having directed Once on This Island, Seussical and High School Musical 2.
