Terri is the writer and performer of the one-woman show Anatomy of a Doll, which she has performed for the past 28 years at conferences, theatres and universities throughout The United States, as well as at the 2003 Toronto Fringe Festival.
Anatomy of a Doll is an autobiographical poetic one-woman piece which illustrates the connection between childhood sexual abuse and the abuse of substances as a coping method.
Anatomy of a Doll received grants from NYFA and Poets and Writers for its initial performances and received The Daily News’ “Best Theatre-Pick of the Week" in 1998.
Anatomy can be performed in its 35 minute entirety or as a hybrid of theatrical scenes and key-note narrative. Both incarnations are typically followed by a 15-20 minute Q&A.
Directing
Terri Muuss has been directing Off-Off-Broadway shows, high school productions, middle school shows, and one-person vehicles since the late 1990s. Combining her deep understanding of the acting craft with her social worker’s mastery of group dynamics and strengths-based perspectives, Terri is cherished by anyone she works with for her support, insight, and leadership.
